The longer of the two Boyne Mountain courses, running down the mountain with wide fairways and long views over the valley.
Rowdy Cup XII
Eighteen men, four nights at Boyne Mountain, and six rounds across four courses. Five of them carry points — twenty-nine on the table, and fifteen takes the cup.
The cup is under way. The Big Board has the score; the tee sheet below still holds.
The two rosters, with the index each man plays off and the record he brings into the week, are on the Big Board.
All times local to the course, and every round is a window rather than a single tee time — the cup goes out on the host course's standard sheet. Rounds 1, 2, 4 and 5 each carry an Odd Pair singles match alongside the pairs. Keep the match — and the strokes each man gets — on the scorecard.
Exhibition. Details to be announced.
Each player plays his own ball and the lowest net score wins the hole for his side. Level lowest scores halve it, a half point each.
Handicap RCH straight up
Each player drives and the pair take the better shot, the other man dropping at it, until the hole is done. A point per hole to the lower score; the most holes at the end takes the match point.
Handicap 0.35 × RCH of the higher-handicap teammate + 0.15 × RCH of the lower = team handicap
Each player drives and the pair pick the drive to play on from. From there it is scored like best ball — the lowest individual score wins the hole, level scores halve it.
Handicap 0.8 × RCH
Each player drives and the pair take the better shot, the other man dropping at it, until the hole is done. A point per hole to the lower score; the most holes at the end takes the match point.
Handicap 0.35 × RCH of the higher-handicap teammate + 0.15 × RCH of the lower = team handicap
Every man out on his own ball. The lower net score wins the hole, and the most holes wins the match.
Handicap RCH straight up
29 points in all, and 15 takes the cup. A tie is settled with a putt-off — both sides alternate until every man has putted, and the most made putts wins. The full rules are on the rules page.
Four rounds at Boyne Mountain — the Monument and the Alpine, each played once in the morning and once in the afternoon — then across to Bay Harbor, twenty-five minutes up the road, for the last day. Every round is off the orange tees, and the figures below are that set.

Disciples Ridge at Boyne Mountain Resort — 2-bedroom condominiums with a loft, four of them, up at the north end of the resort. The trip covers four nights, six rounds with carts, transport to every round, and the resort fees. Bring cash for clubhouse and transport tips. The full write-up, and who is in which condo, is in the packet.

The 2026 packet runs to fourteen pages: the room list, the week hour by hour, the rules as they stand this year, the round-by-round formats, a page of bios, and the trip's accounts. The schedule above, the courses and the rules all come out of it. What is not here is everything that is nobody else's business — the money, the rooms, and what each man claims to have up his sleeve.
Two things changed this year worth reading twice. Handicaps now apply to every round whatever the format, and the exhibition round now opens the cup on Thursday morning rather than sitting in the middle of it — every round after the first one counts.
Every packet the cup has produced is in the Hoon Lounge, behind the passphrase the captains hand out.
